South Africa came 4th in this year's coveted Conde Nast Traveller Reader’s Choice awards.

In the best countries to visit category it was beaten only by Greece in top spot, Italy in second and the USA in third. Readers voted for different criteria such as scenery, service, value for money, food and overall experience.

In the top 20 in the world – overall including countries, properties and spa’s - Singita Grumeti in Tanzania was overall 5th place with a massive score of 92.72 and Bushmanskloof Wilderness Reserve and Wellness retreat in South Africa was 20th overall with a score of 90.96.
