Our Top Lodges
South Africa
South Africa is primarily a top destination for bush and golf rather than beach, and therefore the selection here is limited but diverse as Tonga Beach Lodge has a more rustic remote feel and Birkenhend House is a luxury edge of town property.

Thonga Beach is set on the secluded Mabibi Bay, in the heart of the Greater St Lucia Wetlands on the northern Natal coast. This is the ideal place to discover one of the last unspoilt and undeveloped wilderness beaches in South Africa. The 12 thatched cottages have been carefully constructed in the coastal dune forest to ensure minimum impact on the environment and maximum guest privacy. Each room has a stone bath, indoor/outdoor shower, bar fridge, air-con, ceiling fan and mosquito net. Activities include canoeing and sundowners on Lake Sibaya, seasonal turtle walks and excellent diving. |
